Oxford Castle Fun Day for Kids

Sound familiar? The school summer holidays are now in full swing, but if you’re struggling for value for money ideas to keep the kids amused over the next month, Oxford Castle Quarter are offering an afternoon of archery, sword handling, jousting and the more current favourite, pizza for just under £20 per child!

Oxford Castle and Prison will be holding Knight School between 12 noon and 1pm on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer holidays. Priced from just £9.50 per child, with discounts for additional children, trainee knights will learn the essential skills to defeat Stephen and battle for Empress Matilda as she fights to reclaim her throne!

The re-enactment, led by fully trained knights, will culminate in a graduation ceremony, where each newly qualified knight will be awarded their very own sword!

Following all the swashbuckling the young cavaliers may be feeling tired, so head over to Oxford Castle Quarter’s on-site Pizza Express restaurant and tuck into a banquet fit for a knight of the realm!

Pizza Express’ famed Picollo menu will satisfy all young taste buds, Dough Balls, Piccolo pizza, pasta or salad, a dessert, a Bambinoccino and an activity pack, all for just £7.25. For adults looking for a bite too, Oxford Castle Quarter’s Pizza Express is offering a mid-week special of a starter and main course priced at just £11.95 per person, from Monday to Thursday.
